White Dress Diane Lane Wore in Under the Tuscan Sun
If you haven't read the Part -1 yet: I made a list of the most iconic white dresses in the history of Hollywood ever. Dresses that are so gorgeous, so hot, that we can't forget them! We covered many of the most iconic white dresses – from Sharon Stone to Marilyn Monroe. But there are some more cute but not iconic ones that I wanna add to the list.
So, let's just dive into more white, shall we!?
Diane Lane in Under the Tuscan Sun
The 2003 chick-flick Under the Tuscan Sun features popular vintage outfits. Diane Lane's character Frances wore a short-sleeved white fitted dress, with black handbag, heels and belt. The dress became many women's go-to dress, and many's wish. It is awesome especially because its hem falls at the calves, a hugely popular skirt trend right now!
Angelina Jolie in The Other Woman
Angelina plays mystery lady, Elise, in The Other Woman. And all her costumes in the film are noteworthy, created with a modern take on retro fashion, but her floor-length white cocktail dress is especially iconic. 'The idea was to create a world of quiet elegance, reflected in simplicity of line and colour', says Oscar winning costume designer Colleen Atwood about the dress in an interview.
Amber Heard in Rum Diaries
Johnny Depp's movie The Rum Diaries has the gorgeous Amber Heard looking angelic and ethereal in this lace white mini-dress. She wears a lot of white in the film, and while we're at it, can we please look at her white chiffon beach dress that knots into orange? Wow.
Rosie Huntington in Transformers 3
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who plays Carly in Transformers 3, Dark of the Moon, wore a stunningly amazing mini draped-neck white cocktail dress. And I loved the outfit paired with blue heels/pumps and a red handbag. The dress not only made headlines popularizing the Victoria's Secret model's sizzling hotness factor, but also inspired many replicas. I wouldn't mind wearing one actually!
Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises
I personally really love this feminine flowy white midi dress Anne Hathaway wore in The Dark Knight Rises, where she played Catwoman. Love how she wore it with the red lips, chocolate-brown hair, turquoise necklace and Roman-style flats.
Kate Hudson in Something Borrowed
Kate Hudson's short girly white dress in Something Borrowed has inspired tons of replicas. It has criss-cross top, and is very feminine, 'sweet-sixteen' sort of way.
Jennifer Lopez in The Back Up Plan
Playing a hot single pregnant woman that goes on to have a relationship, Jennifer Lopez wore this sexy figure-hugging knee-length white number in one of the scenes.
So, did you like my list? Once again, if you haven't read the previous article about the most iconic 10, read it here.
