I think you can for purposes of adjusting your overall GPA, but your graduating GPA and degree itself are locked in. I don't know how other schools work, but Western makes the process of declaring a 2nd type of undergrad degree difficult and their language is vague. I've yet to get an 'official' answer to how it works.
I know a guy who graduated with 30 credits (or 6 years worth of undergrad courses) before getting an audit for graduation. He could have graduated with several different degrees with combinations of Major/Minor modules, but chose the one he most wanted to do grad work in.
I believe if he wanted to get a 2nd degree, even one that he technically qualifies for, he would have to re-take all of his elective requirements, even if he has already done them. He would have to pick different subjects for his electives.

I think once you have graduated, thats it. If you want to take more courses at the same university, you have to re-apply, as a non-degree student. You can apply to other university's but I think it gets shaky in terms of the courses you can transfer, but im not entirely sure of that.

If you're applying as a non-degree student, your previous (first) degree GPA will not change after you graduate. Usually people take more courses after they graduate to fulfill grad/prof school pre-reqs.
If you are planning to boost your GPA, I suggest you stay another year in your degree to boost your GPA before you graduate.
If you GPA is already hopelessly low for your first degree, I recommend you graduate. And then start a second degree.

gooood luck also what are you planning to apply to i'm in the waiting process right now, won't find out until may for grad school! i had to boost my sub-gpa as well so i stayed back an extra year to take bird courses
the downside is that if you plan on working part-time or full-time and take courses on the side, you technically can't say you have xyz degree until you actually graduate
anyway good luck on whatever you decide
thank you thank you!!! good luck on ur application too XD
i've sent an email to school to ask and will get the answer tmr, also will let u guys know the result
well i've confirmed my intention to grad already...so..:S
i slacked off in my 3rd year but at that time i nvr thought about grad school so my gpa was like B- overall
and i didnt do quite well in my 4th year first term which was last term so now im wondering if taking more courses is possible
stay one more term is fine for me but for extra year..hmm maybe nott..and im definitely not a hard working student..im a cramming one..so maybe im not suitable for grad school at all
anywayyy best luck to u!!

Can you rescind your request to graduate?
If you can't, you'll have a lot of issues getting into courses because:
-you'll be a non-degree student taking courses that won't count towards your degree and therefore:
-you lose priority in terms of selecting courses (for instances, at UT and York, 4th year students select before 3rd year students, who select before 2nd year students, etc...)
-you may need to request special permission for some courses since the seats will only be dedicated to students in specific programs of study (i.e. not for non-degree students) and in some courses, they may not allow that
If you can't rescind the graduation request, you may be better off applying for a 2nd degree. I would talk to the registrar ASAP and see if you can rescind the request if I were you.

so i got the answer
"The courses you take as a non-degree student will be used towards your overall C.G.P.A.; However, on your transcript, you will be able to see what your C.G.P.A. was upon graduation and what your new C.G.P.A. is (with the additional courses factored into your C.G.P.A. upon graduation)."

That's very nice to learn. I'm thinking of this...
